This course gives you the skills to turn raw data into striking visual stories. We’ll show you how to find the story in the data, and how to convert the data into graphics. You will explore different infographic formats and practice developing the content from start to finish. You’ll also explore typography, and choose typefaces that look great while helping you organize the presentation of your data. Prerequisite: Adobe Illustrator 101 or equivalent experience. 

Graphic Design Essentials 2 Days | 14 hours | $825 PLUS TAX

This two-day course is perfect for those who want to study the techniques that designers use to create newsletters, brochures, posters, and logos. You will learn how to transform strategic ideas into great visuals, to choose an appropriate typeface and colour palette, and to put all the elements together in a balanced, effective layout. The course includes hands-on exercises. Prerequisite: proficiency in either Adobe InDesign or Adobe Illustrator

For many, learning how to use Photoshop effectively is an essential part of their job. This comprehensive course covers all the basics plus features like masking, colour correction, sharpening (the correct way), and compositing -- things a marketing pro needs day to day. The most amazing things are the new time-saving features (where you click once and save 20 minutes on some common tasks). We’ll give you lots of practice to be sure you remember the lessons learned. If you face any special projects please bring a sample to class with you. You can use it during practice sessions. Prerequisite: Basic computer skills.

Whether you work with long documents or brochures, ads, or whatever, we’ll show you time-saving tips and techniques that will literally make you giggle. After this workshop you can start using Illustrator, with complete confidence, to create logos, illustrations, floorplans, posters, and banners.
